On a stormy night, Jesus' terrified disciples were in a small boat, struggling against the raging waves that threatened to sink them. While the storm was raging, Jesus, calm, was sleeping in the bottom of the boat. Desperate, the disciples woke him up, crying out for help. With a serene gesture, Jesus stood up, raised his hand and ordered the wind and the waters to calm down. Immediately the storm ceased, and a deep calm enveloped the sea. The disciples, amazed, realized Jesus' authority over nature, strengthening their faith and revealing the true divine power that lived in him.
