On a high mountain, Jesus took three of his disciples, Peter, James and John, with him for a special moment of revelation. While they were there, Jesus' appearance changed, and his face shone like the sun, while his clothes became white as light. The disciples, amazed and fearful, saw Moses and Elijah talking to Him, and the sky was filled with a luminous cloud that surrounded them. A voice resounded from the cloud, saying, ‘This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear him.’ Thus, the disciples learned about the divinity of Jesus and the importance of following him.
